That's forums in general - you either do or you don't - the majority don't, sometimes for reasons you've mentioned sometimes for other reasons - it's not this forum they generally mean but any forum.

Mate mention land rover on the patrol forum and be prepared to cop it. I just gave up mentioning the brand..
Forums are a social society online, it's a community where you can say, do and claim pretty much anything as a keyboard warrior. I think if I was around a camp fire with a lot of people claiming shady info I'd ask them to explain and then probably tell them to shut the **** up.
Therefore frustration is always going to be part of an online community, it's up to us as individuals to learn the people who have credible info to share from those that are as credible as Bill Clinton's "I did not have sexual relations with that woman" claim.
Tombie was black and white with his approach to many discussions. I didn't always agree, but I did agree many times also, what's important to understand is that if your willing to dish out you must be willing to cop it, after all we're human and we all have different opinions.
I think the D2 is at that sweet spot of social media/forum/availability/cost -ratio that just so happens to involve you Mario,,
give it 5 years and all those D3 owners will be bugging you as well...
I read a post on the AULRO FB page the other night,, the guy said he is a member here but never come on as the navigation is like a plate of spagetti,,
If you have to deal with people that cant scoll down a single list of Forum options I feel sorry for you Mario...
If someone asked me to describe the D2 Forum, that particular word would have been a Loooong way down my list.
Also habit and finance options.
Look how many businesses have switched to the Ford Ranger, for example.
Hmmm - where did Tombie go? but the discussion is on Toyota vs Landrover with a bit of Ford thrown in.
Tombie was certainly into his Landrovers but never puts them on a pedestal and was always happy to call out their quirks unlike some who view them through Rose Coloured glasses. Was happy to do the same for the other makes as well.
Tombie has been on and off a few times and I am sure he will be back soon with a few of his grenades, some good advice and at times annoying views but always at the end of the day always happy to help with valid problems.

Well I think we'd all like a D4 as a work vehicle but a Hilux is half to a third of the price so certainly in my company capital cost is a big factor too.
Oh, and I find my Hilux comfortable - I spend most of my day in it, and never get out feeling uncomfortable to be honest. I also think it looks pretty good. Mines got a hard lid, bullbar and LED driving lights - pretty cool company car IMO. [emoji106]
