What would a forum be without a difference of opinion?

This isn't a religious cult where its the blind leading the blind but a place where topics can be discussed with a vast array of opinions from a diverse fabric of people of different back grounds, experience and beliefs. After all, free speech is an individuals right!

Constitutional law protection. The*Australian*Constitution does not explicitly protect freedom of*expression. However, the High Court has held that an implied freedom of political communication exists as an indispensible part of the system of representative and responsible government created by the Constitution.

Not constitutionally but protected by the high court.

Which means it can be cancelled at any time by the High Court.

Well, only if a case specifically on point is brought to the High Court, they decide to hear it and then a majority of the 7 justices provide an opinion that clearly overturns a long settled precedent. I wouldn't think that was too likely to occur.

Unfortunately the difference of opinion scares some new people off joining this forum. I ask people I meet if they are members and if not spruke the forum to many landy people, whether they are customers or people I meet. Sadly I often get feed back from them saying they will not join up as some are too anal on these forums, the D2 section sadly has the worst reputation from what I have been told. Something to think about.
