    What on earth is this?

    Hi everyone

Sorry if this has been done before and sorry if I've posted a 100mb photo here (yes did check the instructions) but would you all please tell me what this is for? I bought the car second hand and it was like that when I got it - honest!

    Thanks in advance...

Yeah thats what I'm hoping, that the previous owner was a LR fan and added that GOE EAS kit thingy but wanted to check with some experts on here first. Dealer said never seen it before, its not standard, when new windscreen was fitted this week.

Thats the usual position of the engine oil suction tube... don't stick ANY compressed air in it until you check it out properly...

Thanks everyone. I had better read the manual. Just odd that the dealer had no idea what it was.

You won’t find it in the manual and the dealer didn’t know because it’s clearly not factory supplied. Justin is making the point that it could be some modification to the oil suction tube, could being the operative word. You will need to figure it out by closer visual inspection and tracing it down into the engine bay.

If it's part of the GOE EAS 'full' kit then it certainly has not been installed in the conventional way.
