I dont have the audio buttons but have done the aux input mod and use a $3 BT adapter for streaming to my CD400.
I bought a$50 bluetooth unit (switchable from receiver to transmitter) from Jaycar electronics. Plugs into the aux input jack in the car. Phone picks this up and I can now stream music via bluetooth . Calls as well afaik.
If you are just after bluetooth phone calls, they also have these for about 25 bucks
meant the one Eric got from jaycar
Hi All,
I've made some good progress with this.
The device accepts the steering wheel controls and changes tracks.
It works by the arduino reading the steering wheel controls then activating the next prev track switches & Play/Pause on the module.
I've also designed a pcb to make it a neater solution than my prototype.
So it's met my basic goals, this is V1 then.

New goals for V2:
Make it read the front buttons on the head uint.
Make the mic work
Use the mute function to make calls
