    AutoCode EGR Emulators

    I don't want to start a new discussion on emulators, I just want the following info.........

    Has anybody used the EGR Emulators supplied by AutoCode on a 2.7 TDv6 (09 D3)????????? I would like to hear your review before I purchase.

    I've got an '08 TDV8 that uses the exact same emulators (no difference in parts between TDV6 and TDV8). Only been on a month. I have an occasional EGR low error on bank B, but the code stays on bank B even after I swap the emulators so it appears to not be them... still working that one out. BTW, my EGRs have been completely removed and blanked. All bits sitting in a box in the shed.

    AutoCode EGR Emulators

    Update: on my mobile device I could not see that they offer emulator for tdv6 07-09 when you check the website properly.

    ++

    But website says only tdv6 until 2007? My understanding is you could delete / blank the EGRs in these without a fault light.

    The whole point of emulator was from 2008 onward?

    What do the emulators cost ?, BAS EGR delete file uploaded via GAP tool is only GBP150 and $35 for the blanking plates.

    I'll +1 the BAS delete (I got the DPF mapped out at the same time), although I've noticed some odd off-throttle behaviour after the BAS EGR delete.

    You probably wouldn't notice it in an auto, but it can get a bit annoying with a manual. The throttle seems to "hang" for a while after you get off the pedal, making gear change timing a bit more interesting (foot off the throttle, count to 2 and wait to feel the power drop, clutch in and change). You also get the "Back out towards the end of the driveway, vehicle coming so clutch in and foot off the juice and the engine roars its box off for 2 seconds until it settles back to idle". It never did it before the EGR delete.

    Unfortunately you *need* the EGR deleted if you have the DPF delete, so I couldn't use the emulators even if they were flawless.

    I had those emulators on my D3 2009 2.7tdv6 got 2 ks down the road and dropped to the bump stops got home disconnected them car back to normal plugged them in again same result after months of waiting in hope of a new model. This didn't happen so asked for a refund which was given
    back to me. I don't think he has managed to get them going for my model. Other people have had success. My early 05 D3 I put blanking plates on which worked great, but my 09 is a different story.
    Cheers
