Overall, D4 services aren’t expensive - I never paid a cent for any at the dealer until outside warranty.
A good Indy will be on par with the others.
You’re applying logic to a purchase, whilst driving a Discovery it’s hardly logical - that MU-X will be as boring and bat****, have no soul and ride like everything else out there... there’s a reason for the LR feeling.
I have an Isuzu and an MG I drive when in Thailand and they’re ok... but the Isuzu is nothing more than transport...

 Yeah, just the common run of the mill - MG3 - no Union Jack on the roof though...  good for just zipping around.
The Isuzu does the longer runs.
