The mobile strut place I use is out your way at Ringwood. Won't cost you much more (if any) to buy direct. Just use the specs from the above link.
Probably the only mistake I made when I organised the group buy for the ProSpeed racks a couple of years ago was to not bring in more ladders. I brought in only one or two spares. Probably should have brought in two or three more as they would have sold by now. I have two spare wheel carriers left which will probably never sell!

No. No. Not at all. I simply negotiated a buy price for 5 sets to be made up and put a notice up on here for anyone interested. Four sets sold immediately and someone will come along and want the last one. If more people want them, I'll simply order another batch. Probably cost you an extra $20 or so to buy direct, but it's still not a bad price for a custom made strut.
In any event, I have some work to do at a workshop in Kilsyth after the lockdown, so I could always drop them off there for you if the timing is right.
I've had no problems with dealing with people on this forum. Apart from the ProSpeed racks and struts, I've sold two vehicles, various Series bits and pieces and bought and sold various Classic bits and pieces. All transactions have been settled as agreed and all the people I've met (or dealt with remotely) have been a pleasure to deal with.
Oh! You were referring to the wheel holders. That's no problem. ProSpeed know they're here and will send any local enquiries my way. ProSpeed were a pleasure to deal with, too!

mmm ProSpeed! I too want one of there ladders..I rang apt to ask if he could do something similar some time back..I should chase that up.. if my sister ever comes home from UK I might get her to bring me one

In other news i recently discovered that Castrol are claiming to have a ATF for the 6 speed boxes called Dex 6 - mercon. I won't be changing from genuine and this isn't the thread to discuss it but.. It's cheap if anyone is looking.

Thanks Diesel for the advice, I do like the ProSpeed ladder, but I shied away at the $450 transportation cost to get it imported from ProSpeed UK...Yikes! I can see why a group buy option would have had advantages. Hoping that someone like APT come up with something similar. Thanks for the tip on the struts... regardless of ladder solution the lift up struts need to be considered.

Isn't that what Ford put into their 6hp26 and the Ford clones of the 6hp26?

Out of interest, had a look at the comparative size ratios using the Miata Tyre Calculator: Tire size calculator

Specification	Sidewall	Radius	Diameter	Circumference	Revs/Km	Difference
255/55-19	140mm	382mm	763mm	2397mm	417	0.0%
265/60-18	159mm	388mm	775mm	2435mm	411	1.6%

Consistent with the info that Diesel provided earlier. The change from the OEM 255/55 - 19" rims to the new 18" rims with 265/60 profile AT tyres will result in a 1.6% increase on the odometer readings, 19mm extra sidewall [bigsmile1], 12mm overall diameter increase with 6 fewer revolutions of the tyre to cover a km. Interesting... and something to incorporate in IID Tool settings to correct.

Which works out to be negligible.
Probably less of an amount of difference between having a worn out set of tyres on compared to new ones.
Particularly a set of LT's that have a tread depth of around 12 to 15mm.

I’m happy with the Frontrunner ladder. It’s way more cost effective but perhaps not quite the same quality. Plus I don’t mind not having the extra low rung and find it easy to step up from the Mitch Hitch to the ladder.
