Had the the sump and fluid changed on the 6sp transmission at 160k.
Had been on the to do list for a while. There is a subtle difference in smoother gear changes, more so on the down shift.
cheers

Not today, but worth a mention, took the D4 to Justin Cooper on Thursday to have him look at the car and to book it in for a service, what an absolute gentleman and nice bloke, car is all good, it threw an unusual fault on our way down to the ferry, hasn't done it since.
He is such a nice bloke he is even offered to do work on our 76 Cruiser:whistling:
Post the replacement engine on my D3, my battery gave me grief when away a few weeks ago. Helpful Jump start by another Disco driver and it was working fine (??) I tried to start on Saturday to find it fail a second time. Charged and started I took it for a battery test which showed it MARGINAL [bighmmm]
Set the charger to Rejuvenation but grabbed a new battery from Ritters as no way I a driving a long way off road with a question on it.
going to add the old battery to my lawn mower. That should be fun[biggrin]
D4 booked in for OEM windscreen on Thursday.
Will be interesting considering all the extra parts they need to remove!
After last year i'm surprised mine is still starting, the main has to be 6-7 yo at least. I am now just starting to get the occasional special programs unavailable message which goes as soon as its running, now battery time for me too - either an exide extreme or supercharge goldplus.
