Definitely worth checking I accept, though they are the same as they were with the previous tyres - noticed the increased noise driving home from the tyre shop. It does sound like my experience isn't typical...

I swapped out the old manual seats for some much newer/fresher electric ones sourced from Triumph. Very nice - softer leather, better adjustment, and arm rests.

I haven't updated the CCF to acknowledge these seats though - everything works as it should already. Any thoughts on what the CCF might be doing?

When I looked into doing the same, I think it was for the memory function, if you the memory module aswell, that'll also drive the mirrors to your set point.

Yeah, there is a CCF setting for 'with Memory' too - so presumably drives that.

Didn't need memory seats, and it sounded like that retrofit might involve a bit more rooting around with running wiring, changing the door to include memory buttons etc. Once set, the seat doesn't really move anyway, so happy with the 'plug and play' nature of this.
Very nice to be able to adjust the seat base to tilt back though, and the lumbar support is devine

Put some extra lighting into the upper tailgate as others have done - LED strips.
Not nearly as satisfying as assisting my daughter install an Android computer/head unit in her ute.
Fully functioning computer/media player/phone etc etc. Might have to think about replacing mine $400 all up.

That's cool, I might do the same loaded with you info, the only reason I never got it done was the seats that popped up were too far away. My Mrs complains about the seats on long runs and I read the pov pack seats were more comfy. I do want the arm rest but.

Just go in eyes open. I have a number of mates (and parents) now who’ve installed fantastic after market “android touch screens” into cars who have had them fail just outside of warranty. The Toyota models seem the worst. Some were dumb enough to order another one with a similar fate.

For the Android computer, did quite a lot of research on brands and reliability but like everything you have to make choices.

    ECU Upgrade and more

Fitted the ECU after having "Old Jaguar" upgrade it from TDV6 spec to current 3.0 RRS spec (210Kw/700Nm). Massive difference (understatement!). Have retained the I-drive for now and currently still set to position "U2", but I'll play with the settings and it probably won't be needed anymore......

Excellent prompt return service from Old Jaguar even though Sydney is in lockdown.
Aus Post dragged its feet even via "Express Post", they blaming COVID for the delays.

Now to order some inlet manifolds and have them ready....

Bought new front lower control arms and sway bar bushes a coupla months ago and finally fitted them today. Didn't realise just how loose the front end had become at 155,000 klms. Jeez these cars ride nicely!!

    Now: MY13 D4 TDV6. "E" rear diff. Cambo's magic Engine & Auto Tune. 1968 Austin 1800 Mk1 auto (my 5th)
