Which CarPlay system did you go for? Simple install or not so much?

I bought from Cambo@oldjaguar on here, and i would say the install is involved and not for the faint of heart, but also not completely terrifying.
Deconstruct the entire dash, remove the radio head unit.
Dissassemble the head unit to expose the ribbon cables for the display, and insert an extra circuit board to intercept the signal, and inject the carplay vision.
Reassemple everything, and find a place for all the various cables and boxes behind the dash (they are bulky, but fit)
Then, enjoy the added functionality, just from pressing the 'Nav' button.
Best of all, this is a non-destructive install. I can still access all the car's original functions, and if so desired, uninstall back to 100% factory setup.
About $1200 for wireless and steering wheel control functionality (worth it)
Did a service on the air compressor.
I have a kit on order from UK but taking too long and I'm sick of the warning chimes.
O-rings sourced from Renseal in Dandenong - I have the list of sizes if anyone interested - got a spare set as well for next service
Silica gel from online retailer - beads a bit larger than original but still plenty of surface area I will check in a few months to see how much has changed colour - $25 for enough to do about 6 changes
Exhaust valve - genuine from LR $50
Just started up and would previously faulted immediately but so far all good, fingers crossed.
I'm going to do the seals and clean and replace gel annually as preventative service.
Easy job getting the compressor out and back in.
If stays good I'll put the guard back on.
Speaking of deliveries from the UK - order 1 of 2 received today.[emoji41]

These babies got separated on the way over with one box stuck in Singapore for an extra 3 days due to some “regulatory or clearance ” issues. [emoji848]
Words that have never before been used for this task.
Do the the three valve blocks and you’re set.
And, remove motor cover and blast all the carbon out of the electric windings with contact cleaner if you are doing this job. It’s pretty dirty in there after 10 years or so.
