Um, you’re comparing a drain plug concept for a 2.7L engine without a suction pipe to a 3L. Tombie was talking 2.7L engines

I chose to run a 2.7 when I purchased my vehicle.

If I had the 3.0 I’d be vacuuming the oil.

I also have Stahlbus units on the Defender, Disco 2 and one coming for my motorbike - they just make life easier for conventional draining.

I was investigating doing diffs and other fluids using the same.

Mine was Amazon

I have always been concerned they could get hit,particularly on the diffs of a vehicle such as Defender or D2.

Ditto for the sump of some vehicles.

I wouldn’t worry, if the diff hits it on a Defender there’s much bigger problems.

On the D4 it’s well out of the way!
