That'll do for the moment. You must now take the car for a wheel alignment, making sure either you, or the shop, puts the EAS into Tight Tolerance Mode. The shop will re-tighten all the bolts correctly.

Correctly is a loose term. I’ve never seen a wheel aligner use a torque wrench, and the above is a prime example. Access. They typically have two-foot long ring spanners that give about the right tension a suspension bolt requires.

Agree though, get it in for an alignment.

Nor a list of factory torque settings for every vehicle.

I'm questioning whether I need a wheel alignment. Never had one done since new & now has new OEM parts fitted with bolts back in the exact positions they were from new. Steering is also still straight. What a difference in ride.

I hate handing my car over to have stuff done where I can't see what's being done or if it's done properly.

The marks you put on are just to guide you in the ressembly process so that the alignment is roughly right when you finish and you can get to the alignment place.'

Having done the arms the car now needs a wheel alignment to finish the job.

Ask your local indy who does their wheel alignments and get it done there - they will do it correctly.

Bolts might be in the same position however the bolt itself, the arms etc all have tolerances and will possibly be off.

Having said that, I drove ~4000km before I had mine realigned; it drove ok and no bad Tyre wear, even though it was out very very marginally.

When you book in for an alignment, ask if they can supply a before and after computer printout.

    I fitted a 30" LED bar. It's 'brilliant'.

That light bar is well hidden at 1st I thought it was on the roof rack, then I saw it under the bonnet lip.

Unsealed 4X4 | Cooper Tires Discoverer AT3 LT Reviewed

Not today but last Saturday I had 2 Cooper AT3's fitted to the front (like in the above link) I have the old A/T3's on the back, and ended up giving them the panic stop test in the rain last night at a set of traffic lights and they seem okay. Although I notice they have a band of thin rubber going around the tyre near the circumference approx. 1/3 tread depth and I wonder in this is going to block water clearance when the tyres are worn? I might have to get one of those tread cutters like the motorbike champ Kenny Roberts (IIRC) had to cut his own wet tyres when none of the other teams would lend him any!

EDIT: I found out the band is a " Gentle Whisper Groove™ Shields
Contain tread pattern noise within the tread area to deliver even lower tread pattern noise (20% less) for increased in-cabin comfort."
