What happened to your D3/D4 today?

All fixed by Aztech4x4 and it was the intake duct which was deformed at the bottom (maybe by heat?) where it fits into the next part and the "O" Ring had popped out. Car now running much smoother and back to it's normal self. :)
Just that one incident in over 6 years of ownership and as far as I'm concerned the Gap tool has paid for itself.
The thought of it being in the hands of Tojo mob who neither know nor care about anything else is frightening when far from home. Even it being on the back of a tow truck and what could happen to contents etc as was tried moons ago when we had an incident in Newman, is enough to make me worried. :(

I replaced my intake duct on mine. The plastic where the clip hold it in place had minute cracks and was allowing it to pivot and leak. Best thing I did was replace it and stop the oil leakage and continued issues. Good stuff

Got some parts in, new oil pump, crank bolt, crank seal and new power steering reservoir.
Trying to work out where to mount a 52mm diameter oil pressure gauge in my D3.

Oil pressure is there, then it’s not. Having had a dry sump engine that sprung an oil leak and detonated, ask me how I know?

Waste of time, but hey, maybe you can add a boost gauge at the same time? Full rice.

Anywhere else such as centre console frame just above your left knee perhaps?

it will use an electric sender Teed from the pressure switch location.
Leaning towards a gauge pod located on the right A pillar.

Running late for work yesterday morning, I knew there was about 100km left of fuel and that my wife had driven it the day before. I got in to the D4 and saw this on the dash, and got stressed.

Now I’m running really late and not sure if I can get to the servo. Plus I’m silently cursing my wife for not leaving me with any fuel when she knows I have to leave at 05:15.

Turns out that the LR gremlins wanted to create marriage instability. I could only put in 63lt, so it was a electrical glitch.

I’m really glad that I didn’t message or call her as I’d now be sleeping in the D4 [emoji2369]

If you were driving a BMW I’d have thought you were referring to the indicator light on the dash
