I’m finding the discussion....... riveting.

Hahaha. I’m in the process of prepping for that. I have two valve body separator plates ordered (so I don’t have to pull apart and the try and source which one once apart - There are only two for my model gearbox). I have the zip kit and seals etc. I will order fluid shortly. I’m going to reuse the solenoids as I’m happy they’re working fine. I’ll go genuine fluid again though I have been running non-genuine Motul fluid for 50,000km without issue. I’ll do a 20L triple flush.
I expect my gearbox won’t work again once the work is completed [emoji23]
Is it too late to retract my original 2 line questions about rivnuts?
I put 4 x Maxxis 980’s (255 55 19) on a few weeks ago. Has anyone noticed noticeable increase in fuel usage compared to the wranglers? Trying to decide if I’ve got a gucky fuel filter or if it’s the tyres. Filled up the tank today and after 20km it’s reading less than 600km to empty when it normally reads 650-700km
My nightmare started with getting the screws out of the front of the original plastic pan, finally achieved that and intentionally snapping the filter pipe I removed the pan (fluid everywhere of course). Then I discovered that the Zip Kit that I got last April was a Gen2 not the Gen1 for a ZF6HP26. Still haven't managed to release the plug from the plug adaptor thats a job for tomorrow. But I do have the valve body out and have ordered the correct Separator Plate in my case a B052. God I wish I had a hoist I'm to old for this! Nick
