Thread: What happened to your D3/D4 today?

Spent about two hours last night getting the glovebox door off, as I think I might have put the hinge pins back the wrong way around when I did the first handle repair about ten years ago. Does anyone know if the latest glovebox door catches are any more robust?

You're braver than I am. One side of our latch broke sometime about 6 or 8 years ago and it's still in that state as I wasn't game to attempt a repair.

This helps but I used cable ties last time....

I live in Israel and had to redo the ceilings on both my D2 and D4, at around 12 years of car age.
So I'd go with the heat theory, not the Ozone one.

Oh I doubt that….

The 2005 D3 in our family isn’t broken, nor the 2010 and 2011 versions…

I’ll almost 100% guarantee it’s:
- overloading
- slamming it
- pulling handle too hard
