Has anyone bought a second hand compressor and rebuilt it with a kit, then swapped it with the existing compressor?
Yes, got a compressor of another forum member and gave a service and fitted it.
Rebuilt my original and now kept as a spare.

Do you need to pull the fuse or anything to stop it leveling while you adjust it?

Nope just be quick removing your arm as it takes about 3 seconds to react to the change. The slow bit is finding the sucker in the first place.

    D4 Rear rear seats

Actually technically happened over a week ago but for the first time used the rear rear seats in the D4, first time ever as I usually have drawers in the rear so took them out to accommodate 7 people for approx 30mins drive for lunch somewhere. Kept asking the two sets of different people in these seats re the comfort and they all reported it was comfortable, all were adults no kids. Just have never had the need to have 7 people in the beast so it was nice to change it up a bit and take all in comfort, well done D4. Even though I did not actually sit in the rear seats, I take it is well equipped was a hot day as well so we used the rear air conditioner which was welcomed as well. love the versatility of the beast, have since replaced (folded the seats) and replaced with my drawers again as our dog loves going for drives in the back and sits level with the base of the rear tailgate window and so can see outside with ease instead of being buried in the boot with no drawers.

Arrived home after 10 days in Arnhem Land which was fantastic but punished the D3 and trailer . Funnily enough the battery light came on just as i pulled up at home. Fault code P0625 from memory , but alternator is only 45k old so decided to investigate , only to find that the eye on the main cable that bolts to the alternator post was very loose and pulled out of the lug when i tried to loosen it. New lug and crimp plus solder and bolted it back up and so far no fault.

Was amazing trip ,just wish the permit lasted longer.... Now the cleaning begins.

    Replacement upper tailgate actuator

Received a new actuator for the upper tailgate in the post today, so will fit tomorrow morning.

Thankfully the first mod I did when we got the Disco back in January was install the manual upper tailgate release, thanks to researching this site when looking to buy a second hand car.

It’s a 2012 so probably not unreasonable for it to be worn out, not sure if any of the other doors have had the actuator replaced by the previous owner.

    Cheers

Did the same to mine this week. Work shoes off and school shoes on. Though, after 6 hours with combination of pressure washer, hose, and sprinkler on Tuesday and second truck wash and 1 hour on the hose on Thursday after work It's still got red dirt coming out of spots....Today's job a hand wash and into the interior...
