Changed the engine oil in the D4 and a new oil filter, Also started installing a GME UHF radio, need to be a midget to get into the underside of the steering wheel, and yes after reading other posts, to be careful there is a clip missing. Had a magnet on a stick, a mirror and a torch, no sign of it thinking it may have been missing when I bought it.

What happened to your D3/D4 today?

Pulled the front off it. Just finished doing so actually and it’s 04:00 Sunday morning now.

LED bulbs installed into infill lights
Winch getting a service and rewiring it.
    Rewiring driving lights.
ARB bar off to powder coaters in the morning to be restored.

Vehicle is off to Panel Shop Monday for some colour enhancements - Blacking out a few bits and pieces.

Just a tip Tombie, if you are painting the bonnet to stop reflection from the roof lights, it should be a full Gloss Black not matt or Satin finish.

Both matt and satin finishes will reflect part of the light stream back in all directions.

Whereas, full gloss surfaces act like a mirror and if the light comes from the back ( roof ) at an angle, it will simply bounces off the bonnet and continue forward at the same angle.

What happened to your D3/D4 today?

Bonnet is already Decal done - my roof bar doesn’t cause me any grief or reflection by it’s design and location - the decals are more reflection from sunlight and to make it look a little different.

    The new black touches are:
    Door handles
    Mirror tops
    Late model tail lights
    Badging
    Grill and vents

Just part of the ongoing evolution What happened to your D3/D4 today?

I’m also adding a 2nd UHF, power coating the bar work again, upgrading my aux wiring install and adding a few additional components like additional USB charge points etc

And need to make a start on my Double Din install whilst I’m messing around.
