Gave up on it and reassembled with five new ones. I will let Dovers do it when I take it in for other works.

Now need to bleed the cooling system and run through the new injector procedure in the morning (and see if it runs again).
And then to find that the GAP tool has a bug and can’t program the injectors. The injector values won’t save correctly.

I think I’m going to pack up my gloves from now on. I’m tired of cars.

What firmware is your Gap tool running?

There's something about those 4 trailer roadtrains that my windscreens just don't seem to likeWhat happened to your D3/D4 today?🪨
I feel your pain Peter as the triple road-trains do the same here on a daily commute to work along the highway!

I’ve got access to 3.00.00 build 2728 release, 3.00.00 2764 beta, 3.01.00 2679 special and 3.02.00 2742 custom. I recall those last two were releases for updates.

I tried to program them using 3.00.00 release and beta but it doesn’t work.

Car does run however and vastly improved. Smooth as silk at part throttle whereas previously it was surging small amounts. Also my knocking at low throttle has also gone.

I’ll take it in for the last injector and get them coded and call it a “great success”.

Edit: confirmed both additional versions were for firmware updates specifically

Completed a 3/4 roof vinyl wrap to go with the bonnet blackout (and hide the fading paint on the roof).

Trickier job than it looks thanks to the ridges on the roof. Not perfect but will then be covered by the roof rack.

Next task to reinstall the roof gutter trim and refit the roof rack.

Got half way through a coolant change with a thorough flush. At least I now have heat on the passenger side.

That wrapped roof looks awesome. I was going to get mine quoted too as I can't clean under the roof rack. Good job. I'll need someone else to do it. I ruined the black vinyl bonnet sticker aswell.

Parts from 4x4 air seals turned up today, want their fault.. They put in post the next day. Sat at airport for about 2 weeks. New delivery valve and exhaust valve installed this morning. All tested. All good. Very happy

    Cheers.

By comparison the bonnet decal is much easier - especially as you can apply wet. The roof decal though needs to be applied dry and is easy to mess up. I actually practiced with a cheap vinyl first before then removing and using a high quality Avery Dennison wrap.

Even then I messed up a small spot pushing a bubble out and adding some creases - so I have just ordered a repair kit….

Yeah it's one of those jobs where I know I'll be biting off more then I can chew... The guaranteed result will be loss of parts, sprinkled with excessive drinking and a tantrum.

    Well done
