Women don't shop in the conventional sense of the word. They browse and buy what's on the list merely because they happen to be in the shop.

    SCV6 - known problems?

I'm looking at a low kms 2015 D4 SCV6 at the moment - are there any other known issues? The US forums are talking about water hose failures and not the pump itself. Cost to fix?

    Picked up the D4 SC

Been a long time since INter674 has been online to tell us how good the SCV6 is.

The RRS SCV8 had timing chain issues which are allegedly very expensive to replace so the SCV6 may have the same problem.

Just means you would want to be proactive to replace the timing chain and tensioner/guides if it starts to sound rattly before it fails.

US forums say that it's just the SCV8 with the timing chain issue, and prior to 2014, so that shouldn't be a problem.

Friend at work has the SCV8 in the RR. He said it cost him 14k to get the timing chain(s) done. Ouch.
