For that price I assume it is an AMK Type compressor and not a genuine AMK as they normally are $1000 up.

Also, if you just replaced the compressor why did you have to do a recalibration?

It has an AMK sticker on the compressor and described as OEM, manufactured in Germany. Britpart is on the dryer assembly so not genuine, so I’m assuming the compressor is genuine?

I did the calibration as when it dropped to the bump stops the only way I could get it back up with the old compressor was with the calibration, so I wanted to make certain that it was all good as the front seemed to be low. When I measured it per the guided instructions, the front was 35mm lower on the front right, 38mm lower on the left. the back right was 27mm higher on the left and 36mm higher on the right.

So far it’s all going good. I’m going to fully dismantle the old compressor and refurbish it, if possible with a kit.

I saw in your post that the original compressor had an Alert - A50076050. Did you find out what this means? I may be purchasing a replacement compressor from an individual and it has this same sticker on it.

No sorry I never did find out what the sticker meant unfortunately. Once I tracked down a compatible compressor I gave up on finding out the sticker identity

My guess is it’s a safety message due to the item being pressurised. You could probably find it in Topix if using a paid subscription login. Did you ever find a rebuild kit?

for any others looking at compressor replacements

i just finished with my Bearmach air compressor, first one arrived faulty and was send a new one, second one worked for two years before breaking a month out of warranty.

spoke to advanced factors and they said they discontinued the bearmach ones due to too many issues.

the did however say they have had great experience with the Dunlop ones for someone still wanting to save some $$.

i personally went the genuine one this week and it’s fixed my issue along with being much much quieter

My understanding is the Dunlop is a Hitachi clone so not a AMK replacement.
