Ride and handling are different things and not necessarily complementary. Utes always feel relatively like sports cars on smooth bends but I wouldn't back them to stick harder on uneven or rough bends.
I'd be looking at decent remaps before those throttle fudgers. Or you could drive in Snow mode for a while to retrain your right foot! 
Ditto others re lack of squeaks - 260000kms and not a chirrup. Good luck sorting that.
