ZF 8 speed Steel pan options

Of the brands that have reverse engineered a ZF Lifeguard equivalent, I would trust Penrite the most - but do note that like all the alternatives it is for use outside of the Warranty service period.

For the ZF 6 - I do a basic oil change every 20,000km - not sure of the price of the Penrite BMV but I get my LG6 from Repco and pay about $27 a litre so the gearbox oil change only costs about the same as the engine oil change.

For me I will stay with LG6 as I am sure the saving using Penrite BMV will only be a few $$$ per oil change.

I know the 6 speed steel pan is available, but am curious to hear if anyone has replaced on the 8 speed box and what did you use?

    Cheers

But there is still the unknown if it will clear the cross member due to the increased fluid capacity.

Sounds very dear at nearly 500bucks,plus I don't know if a casting is the right way to go. A pressed steel pan would be ideal, as per the old 6 speed.
