I’ve never heard of a LR one failing that’s less than 7 years old. Replace at timing belt time and savadamuney for somewhere else.

Whoops - mine is 14 yo. Fortunately it is all part of the growing list of goodies waiting to be installed.

That’s is scary as 7-10 years I’d say is the danger zone.
The new oil cooler comes with new oring for where the housing slides on otherwise it’s a seperate part.
I have the other plastic coolant elbow in hand that attaches to the block which ShaneShed replaced due to it disintegrating and leaking after 14 years.
I’m going to tackle that and silicone turbo hoses in one unpleasant project.
Oh yeah. Tell me about it. Left that one a bit late - will probably fall apart when I remove. Will be plenty of snap, crackle, and pop when I get into this job (hence the wiring harness cloth tape).
All the radiator and cooling system hoses is the next one I keep looking at and going - hmmmm……14 years is very old for rubber.
LR original replaced a couple of years ago now, check every 2 weeks or so for leaks, no issues.still have the original in the shed as a spare.
