We must be related somehow? As it happens I am just this moment clearing up accumulated trash from years back that I recall thinking back then, "This is too good to go to the skip etc".As a confirmed hoarder you know what happens, right?

Still, it is what makes the world go round although if my sums are correct the world seems to have a bit of a tilt & I blame the trash as I didn't wish to be the reason for the globe to get out of balance & crash. I wasn't aware you are a Hoarder but thinking about it ( although not too deeply you understand) I may be kicking myself when all the time it may have been your tub.

Maybe it is your turn to dive in & see what forgotten prizes you can find. Maybe even the 2lb Ball Pane hammer with the broken handle that you kissed goodbye to & conceded when one of your casual friends dropped in one day & you thought he had nicked it.

Got a chance to remove and clean the switch pack and couldn't find any corrosion or anything else to account for them not working, connectors were clipped in.
Reassembled and tried again but no change, thought I'd go into the head unit settings ran the learn the process for the buttons and all is working now.

Local price from LR dealer was $582. From a Indy parts supplier $494.80. From a wrecker he was trying to sell me from a wrecked 08 for $250.

From AF £88.61 plus shipping so well less that $250 although I got a few other items.

AF don’t offer any other options so I work on basis they have done the homework on what gives them least headaches.

Easy to see it would cost close to $800 for a dealer to replace which is scary. You’d be crying. Literally can get the steering wheel off in 15 minutes now.

I’d love to buy local but………
There is a local supplier. CLOCKSPRINGS AUSTRALIA in Launceston. clocksprings.com.au
I got one shipped for $172. Great quick service.
