Is a modification - so your Stahlbus does not have a safety cap?

And of course the OP does not have a Stahlbus so not sure the relevance to purchasing an oil filter and maybe a new sump plug

The o ring in the safety cap isn't compressed by the cap being tightened so you can't over tighten it and damage the o-ring.

To get back on topic then my last oil filter came from Lynford in Morley.

Certainly does have a safety cap.

Relevance? Instead of buying a new sump plug when doing oil and filter change - consider this modification at the same time.

Mine came from Demon-Tweaks in the UK. As a bonus they sent me their 2020 catalogue today to thumb through. Heavy enough to club a baby seal to death. Printing and postage must have come close to what I spent on the valve. My 5 year old loves the pictures though.

Just ordered mine from Hastings River Brake and Exhaust, Port Macquarie. Daryl was great to deal with and very helpful, has them in stock at $77.00 plus $10 postage. Nick

The Stahlbus 14 - 1.5 mm will fit a range of Landrovers.
I have one on my early RRS as well as Defender 2.2
Especially good for the 2.2 that normally drains horizontally. You can direct the flow with the tube into a container and not onto the floor

Here is a link to the Stahlbus oil drain vehicle application guide

    100%.

I have one of those oil drain valves on my Td5, have had for years. Not sure if it's a Stahlbus brand unit though. Would be good to check so that my drain tube is compatible and then fit one to the D4 too.
