I'm seeing some D3 advertised as "2007 MY06 Upgrade" anyone know what that might mean?

    Is that the canbus upgrade?

Anyone got a difinitive date for the canbus upgrade?

Might have to try and stretch the budget a little if I can.
    I think that means Euro3 to Euro4 update so MY07 ?

Well after much deliberation and tooing and froing between diesel and petrol, V8 and V6. Along with much discussion, mostly with myself and some with SWMBO (who just shrugged and said "I don't know"). I have purchased a 2008 D3 SE V6 Petrol, 204k kms with a good service history at (what I believe) quite a reasonable price which was under my budget.

    The learning begins again.
There is no eraser on the pencil of life.

    Now - 2008 D3 SE 4.0l V6
    Was - 2000 D2 TD5 with much fruit.

Congrats mate, you'll love it - just be prepared to be in the minority in the group as most are diesel owners - but there is still plenty of knowledge out there.

Yes beware of diesel aficionados...as I found out having a petrol seems to elicit some scepticism..such as doubting power output and towing ability....took them a while to work out the D4 v6 supercharged engine...which I just love every time I drive it😎

Enjoy....and I think we are ahead of the pack in choosing petrol ...leave diesels to trucks and tractors🙄

    D3 V8 bulletproof

Have 320K on clock now and doesn't use a drop of oil between services. Jag 4.4 is a masterpiece.

All the power in the world for towing 2.4 ton sharkcat and petrol usage goes from avg 12.5 combined to 16.5 with towing (reasonably flat roads round sunny coast).

95 Petrol is great - no need for 98 AFAIK.

Whilst I still love my 3.0SDV6 diesel for the torque, I’m starting to think the SC Petrol V6 would be the better choice of engine. A 5l V8 petrol maybe best of all...
