Towing Mirror Recommendation for 2014 Landrover Discovery 4

I am seeking recommendations for good detachable towing mirrors for our Discovery 4.

We have two vehicles and want to be able to have just one set of mirrors if possible, but the Discovery will be the main towing vehicle.

Any advice would be very welcome. Thanks

I am currently rocking a pair of Brunsgaards. Easy to remove and refit and do not detach even if you hit an orange plastic roadworks post at 40km/h, roadside brush at 60km/h and oncoming trucks are no problem at all. Great rearward vision behind the van.
Best of all at the end of my towing trip I can remove them and the Disco fits into the garage opening no probs at all.

Brunsgards are great until one falls off and costs a fortune to replace..

I run the Milenco grand aero 3

Teardrop shape outer means min or no vibration, they mount to the top of the car mirrors very well, fully adjustable and offer a wide range of view.
I trimmed 100mm off the std leg, so that i could lock the car without the mirrors hitting the window or door when the car mirrors fold in. Takes less than 5min to fit both and easy to adjust.

Another vote for the Milencos. I used a pair of Milenco Grand Aero 3. Never had a problem after towing van 15000kms. Then changed to a set of clearviews that a mate was selling at a good price but Much more expensive new.

I think you mean the Milenco Aero 3, the Grand Aero 3 is not a teardrop shape. I found them to be too small for my use.

I have a pair of the Reich handy XL :
CaravansPlus | Reich Handy Mirror XL - Mirror Mounted - Single

They were brilliant on my Volvo. On the D3 I need to put double sided tape under all the bits that touch the mirrors to prevent them from sliding off.
I use cheap double sided tape from Officeworks so it peels off easily when I'm done.

I'm looking for new mirrors that don't require additional help to hang onto the D3 mirrors, so no only do I not recommend them, I'm following this thread to find something that works.

X2 for Milenco 3 (non teardrop). Did 21K km in 3 months through mid WA and much of Nth Qld earlier this year and was very impressed. No vibration and never looked like coming off. Only minor concern is could be unscrewed relatively easily if someone was of a mind to steal a pair.

Much better than the elasticised versions.

I only tow a camper trailer but reversing is still impossible as I can’t see the end of the camper or where it’s headed when it’s turning away from the driver’s side. I’m interested too for that reason.

Also interested in the feedback on towing mirrors. I've got cheap and nasty elasticised jobbies that vibrate so badly they're next to useless. Been mustering up the courage to purchase a set of Clearview mirrors but at nearly $700 coin it's a hard pill to swallow.
Just arrived: 2012 D4 3.0 HSE, the journey begins again ;-).
Gone: 98 Disco 300tdi Auto, and some extras
