    Which Flick of the Switch

In the thread "Oil level -Forced Reading" there is mention of a certain button procedure to to make this happen. I've read a lot of articles here and elsewhere along the same line that if you did this procedure you'll fix a problem. Is there a desire to create a thread with all these "undocumented" methods to be collated in one spot, sort of like the Remote Spares thread?

Where? They maybe in the service manual but it's a big read. Just thought the collective knowledge could put together a cheat sheet.

It’s in the service manual section “Engine - TDV6 3.0L Diesel - Engine Oil Draining and Filling”

I would upload that section (9 pages) here, but I can’t workout how upload a PDF document.

Uploading is easy, but there may be a copyright issue with publishing whole slabs of the manual. The odd page here and there is no issue. Over to the mods on this one.

I understand that the procedure for forced oil measurement may be in the manual, but that's only one out of quite a lot. It's the bigger list that I'm sure everyone will be interested in.
