It has a controller standard. Uses BT to the module, Wifi upgradeability.
7 preset height settings, and manual 5mm adjustments to trim. Plus the levelling function.
This is a couple of shots from my controller during install.

I have had the LLAMS for almost 6 yrs on my 2014 D4. I'm very happy with it and had one on my D3 before that. I admit I don't use it a lot but it's nice to use at +30 on fast gravel and selecting extra height prior to obstacles that might scrape underbelly as mentioned earlier. It's never failed, is easy to use, straightforward to install and doesn't need an app (I seem to be collecting so many apps for 4WDing I could almost have more than one iPhone to run them all!). I'd happily recommend it. David
Sure.
So far i've had it out and tested it a little. There's a few more interlocks in its software - so it will allow more behaviors and then limited those that can hurt the vehicle.
LLams has 4 settings by default lowered, normal, +30 +50 and a few extras like Fade Out and over-ride.
Xlifter has 3 lower settings -15, -25, -35, normal, 3 raised heights as well as the 5mm increments. If you select the +75mm and then the vehicle goes into raise mode, it will bring the extra height off to prevent over-extending.
Interface on Xlifter is almost immediate start when a change is selected, Llams has a delay unless a height change on the dash is instigated.
Display on Xlifter shows where the sensors are reading as bar graphs.
Calibration on Xlifter is easier and faster (hardly a concern).
Either is a very good system and both are worthy of consideration - just depends on your budget and taste.
I've since been running the vehicle on road on -15mm as default.
I have been doing that for a number of years - when I changed tyres two years ago I got the wheel alignment done with the suspension in TTM but at -15. In reality there is no appreciable difference in wheel alignment between normal onroad height and -15 and it is certainly well within specified tolerances for onroad height.

It won't solve your problem but there is a pretty good video on you tube showing just how far the suspension is capable of raising. It's pretty far. Amazing actually. Its under "oxmanagain" Super Extended Mode. He's also got some other videos that are interesting.
