    Analog clock lagging

First world problem I know, but heck, I’ve gotta fill my Coronavirus days somehow.
the analog clock matches the digital readout in front of the steering wheel on startup, but after a while it consistently lags behind the digital jobbie by half an hour more on a long drive.
Can’t find any similar posts here, has anybody else struck the same issue? Mine’s a 2016 SDV6 SE.

    Analog clock lagging

    Your clocks broken [emoji41]

Or you’re driving so fast time is slowing down.

    It's relative.

I know, the theory actually is the opposite. [emoji6]

    some thoughts..

You haven't said if the digital clock keeps time with, say, your watch?

If you don't reset the analogue clock, does it keep consistent time while the vehicle is parked, e.g. overnight (albeit 30min slow)

If the answer to the above is that the clock is "stable" when all power is off, do you have any added draw on the clock circuit from DIY mods while the engine is running, which may lower the voltage feed to the clock and cause it to lose time?

Yeah the digital clock keeps perfect time. The analog clock loses time gradually while driving, but when I switch off and check later without turning the car on again, it's reverted back to match the digital readout. No added draw on the analog circuit as far as I know. A couple of years ago Autospark ran an additional 12v power outlet down to the cargo area for me, and boosted both outlets to carry 20amps, but that's directly off the battery via the ignition switch (they're not constantly live).
Other than that, the clock issue is a mystery.
