    D3 2.7 coolant leak

So I'm chasing a coolant leak on the left hand bank can't see any sign of leak from above from the egr cooler or hoses from underneath its driping down on the diff and it's all over the back of the ac compressor so it's coming from above that had a feel around the bottom of the water pump and that seems dry there I'm at a bit of a loss as to where it's coming from any ideas?

For some reason it is called the thermostat housing but doesn’t house the thermostat???

That was the first port of call and it's good it's around the egr cooler but just can't spot it

It's likely coming from where the coolant exists the block on the left hand side of the engine. The alloy heat shields near the wheel need to be removed to see it. It's a **** job.

I have a spare oring here I can send you. Did you change coolant recently??

The red coolant. Do you know what the outlets called or a part number I found it on a diagram but no part number I dunno if I could really be bothered digging in there you can't even see where that bottom hose goes to its crap. Edit I found it and of course it's plastic ****

If you need the oring I can send you one. If it's the same as the 3.0l it's a **** job but I've done it in a 3.0 with the compressor in place.. takes a lot of wiggling
