I have Tuff Ant rims and BFG tyres.
I managed to dent two rims in Simpson desert last year, they now rub on front brakes.
Both from hitting massive pot holes.
A whole story there!!
They fit on rear OK, no rubbing.
Lucky I bought 6.

Hi Terry, good to know, and I agree that the option proposed with spacers is not what I would be considering. I was more interested in the overall tyre dimensions and the commentary on 'fit' with respect to guard rubbing and under vehicle storage. I will be looking at the 18" rims designed for the larger brake discs for the Aussie D4 models fitted out with 265/60 R18 LT tyres... most probably BFG KO2s
Hitting a solid lump of limestone on a Nullabor track caused an horrendous bang, sent the vehicle skywards and instantly destroyed the tyre but only curled the lip of a 20" L322 alloy. The rim wasn't distorted and has balanced normally with an old KO2 as the spare. However it was the outer edge that took the hit whereas a hit on the inner edge would have been quite different.
Given it has been quite a while since this thread was last posted in I'm hoping, even with the various lock downs, that there might be some who have had a chance to do some off roading and might be able to give some feedback regarding the off road durability of either the Tuffant or Moab alloys?
I am also considering the steel Tuffants as an option.
I look forward to any feedback from you guys.
Can't offer any feedback but I see a few new defenders running Tuffant alloys in the US, Denver Colorado LR dealer has a few videos on YouTube.
