This third position comes in hand when setting up the lights and when camping.

Not really considered that as the wiring kit came with a switch and my thinking was around the most discreet mount.

A bit like a bell on a push bike, mandatory but could be under the saddle tucked away then you have that option and still be legal.

Under the bonnet would possibly save the guys some time fitting, stuff always seems to get expensive ( longer job ) when it comes to pushing cable through small places especially making things neat.

I’ll probably end up with something in the cabin, never had that type of switch or additional lights on a Disco yet so all new either way to me.

Yep. Connector for the CB handset/speaker/mic for the Icom unit.

Mouse style best..just stick it to the steering column eg lhs. Switch is good cause I've found the auto dip is unreliable. So the blinding effect to oncoming cars is really bad if you rely on auto dip. So I tend to switch the Korrs off until really needed.. and usually don't rely on auto dip. Std lights on our D4 are good anyway.

I bought an Ironman mouse sw loom. Different plugs to the Korr lights but just swapped over the connectors. Loom cost 50 bucks.

Getting thru the firewall is a real pia..fortunately the already installed Redarc wire provided an entry point sort of just above the drivers side cylinder bank..seems there's lots of insulation to get thru.

When driving out on highways I like to stage my lighting.

As I approach something, I drop my Driving lights first, then as the gap closes I drop my high beams. Couldn’t do this with a switch under bonnet.

I put mine on the lower side of the dash opposite the steering column. They are discreet, but are angled towards the driver and can be reached while driving.
There are places I like to use high beam without the lightbar or spots, which cause a lot of glare back from roadsigns on winding rural roads, such as Steve Irwin Way.

I do the same with my FYRLYT’s....as oncoming traffic flick their hi-beam asking me to drop and than we both travel in darkness for twice as long. Drop driving lights than high beam. Although I now have both lights on spread setting and it doesn’t seem to bother oncoming as early.

Just need a two stage hi-beam switch as my switch in the work lux is in a painful spot.
