    D4 Driving light mounts

Does anyone have suggestions for mounting a set of driving lights to a D4 that does not have a nudge/Bull bar. I've seen a kit from Lazer Lights specifically for the D4 but the lights are tiny. Any options?

The Lazer lights have a good reputation, but I don't have any personal experience with them.
Have you considered a lightbar instead?

I have a set of lazers (triple R 750 Elite's) fitted to Prospeed brackets. I have no comparisons to draw on with regard to their relative brightness etc but they are fine for me. The Prospeed mounts were easy to fit and provide a solid fixing which can also be used for a light Bar if preferred. The brackets poke out through the grill and hence gives a small drawback that the front part of each bracket has to be removed if the grill ever needs to come off (only 4 small bolts though) Lazer also do a grill kit which sets their lamps into the grill with a little cutting of the grill. There are also other "through grill" brackets available and some forum members have fashioned their own.

I’ve got 9 inch jobbies mounted to a custom bracket made by Auto Spark in Perth. Seems to work fine, lights haven’t moved in three years despite having the bejesus vibrated out of them on corrugations...

    Check out this recent thread:
Driving lights - where to place switch in the cabin without drilling / cutting holes

I have a variation of the setup in that thread with the Prospeed bracket that comes through the grill, which allowed me to get the lights lower.

    Cheers,

    Hi Greg,
Wondering if you would be able to share more info/pics of your custom brackets?
