The jack is also small enough to get under the rear chassis which has only 225mm clearance at road height.

I also have a tuffant bottle jack adaptor made for the Omega jack which is secured to the top of the jack head with a grub screw and then protrudes into the chassis lift point holes and prevents the jack from sliding off.

The other good jack to get hold of is the D2 bottle jack.

I’d been thinking the same actually. I’m just not sure how safe it’ll be with the shape of the top. I found that jack magic for the D2 as it fits perfectly under the radius arms, but the D4 jacks differently

I just changed all 4 wheels using the D2 jack today. It lifts quicker than the Omega jack. With the prongs at right angle to the chassis it sits securely but obviously not as good as the Omega jack with an adapter.

    Bottle Jack Question

I store the jack with some blocks of wood in a box which then fits behind the 2nd row seats.

My air compressor is also stored on the other side.

D2/D1 jack is v good but the old screw bottle type GQ jack is better again..its so light and nothing to go wrong. Only pia is having to screw it down.

We use a drill/driver to speed that up rather than the factory handle/wobble rod. Extensions are available.

    Another cheap reliable option☺s-l400-1.jpg

put a good 3/4 inch drive 27mm socket and breaker handle in there if you dont have one in the tool box...

The top of the D2 jack just lifts off easily and the shaft has a smaller diameter section underneath..

You could make up an adaptor to fit the D3 shape.

How much would I expect to pay for a Nissan or a D2 jack?
