Hope not. Expecting more out of it. 40-50km/h on a slight slope and struggling is not reasonable.

I suspect you are currently reading the LED thread, but if not JUST DO IT.
It will tell you where to put the bits (including heat sinks if required), depending on whether you tow (or may tow) both LED and non LED equipped trailers.
I went for the 2 resistors in the rear LHS and an on/off switch near the rear CIG plug - works for me - thanks to the experts on here, particularly kelvo and ericsdv6 for my application.
I think you have something else (not related to whether the trailer is being recognized) going on. It should pull much much better than that. In Jan we went to Manjimup. Traveling between Bunbury and Bridgetown there are some reasonably (for WA) steep hills. Towing a 1.5t camper and car full of stuff/kids/ETC we could go up the hills on the speed limit (actually faster at times to get around slower cars on passing lanes) without feeling like the car was struggling at all. Certainly not foot to the floor. NB: Drive train standard.
Now, my former 2.7 was a different story....the firewall was far too close to the pedal...
Unless someone has tied a road train to the back of your camper trailer without you knowing you have more than resistor problems, start by getting your in tank fuel pump pressure checked unless you have fault codes showing
Edit : if the camper trailer had electric brakes not hooked up correctly , the brakes could have been activating but surely you would have noticed smoke coming off the wheels, what does the car go like without trailer ?
So what was your thought process on posting this screen capture? "I see he has reconsidered his view, based as he said, on re-reading the question properly, but **** it, I'll call him out on it anyway"?
As others have said, these cars pull like a train irrespective of gearbox or having LED resistors fitted. I was getting those types of speeds only when limping home on restricted performance, after blowing an intake manifold.
Something more serious at play - get a good independant to take a look at it. There are a few in Perth that come highly recommended on AULRO
Try cleaning the MAP sensor (Manifold Absolute Pressure) as it may be choked up with carbon due to the exhaust gas recirculation.
Have fitted PW00527 Oil Cooler and have now tested Adelaide to Peterborough Melrose Clare area. Van weight with 210 Litres water and 40 litres diesel in jerry cans 3.2 tonnes. Before fitting additional cooler 8 speed trans would regularly reach 105-110 deg cruising at 90kph. Now with cooler fitted and same weights never exceeded 95deg. So extra cooler has reduced temp by at least 10 deg.
Very happy with result which will hopefully prolong transmission life but will still continue with annual full oil change including TC.
