Its a brush guard not a milk carton bar [thumbsupbig]

its better than nothing and allows me to put on an led bar.
Etiher or both. I have a sport. Always liked them. Thought it was a disco with a different body. But as others have said it is shorter and has less room in back and rear seats.
Other item not said. Less room for front passenger seat does not go back as far. Seats need to be slightly forward to fold down back seats. Center console and radio slope takes up room. Discos seem to have more thigh room.
For me unless you prefer one over the other take the best car for the price you can get. Remember all sport 3.0L are SDV6 so has more power than TDV6. Better car is an 8 speed 13+my. But is out of the timeline you stated.
Good luck love mine.
I had exactly the same choice, but with an MY2011 D4 and RRS. I purchased (and still have) the D4 - mainly based on the huge difference in rear luggage capacity. There is simply no comparison - the D4 is streets ahead of the RRS in this aspect.
Other than that though - they are virtually the same vehicle. Yes - a steel bullbar designed for the D4 will bolt straight onto the equivalent model RRS - there are plenty of them out there with one fitted. Most other accessories are the same - if they will bolt onto a D4, it is highly likely that they will also fit the RRS. One advantage you may find in the RRS is a wider choice of engines - the TDV8 available in the RRS is a bloody nice bit of gear - not available in the D4.
So - other than the amount of room in the back and possibly a different choice of engine, it's pretty much a personal choice. Personally, I think that the D4 is a better looking vehicle with more of a "Land Rover" presence - but others will have a different view. I like the RRS, but my main reason for going with the D4 at the time was the amount of room in the back - plus mine was a demo model and I was offered a slightly better deal on it than on a similar vintage RRS that they had in stock at the time.
Good luck with whatever you choose though - I'm sure you'll be happy with either.

Thanks, pretty good feedback much appreciated for sure.
Is that a tough boy rear wheel carrier( I might have brand wrong) no issues with it BMKal ?
With the d2 it was for room, as we had a pop top and more stuff went in back of car, now we have a full van less will be in back of car, but I still need to fit uhf and HF radio so unsure of room in dash area of RRS, I am only going on pics from car sales as none for sale up this way.
The v8 motor could be a factor just cos.
Thanks again for comments been great reading.

My choice would be the MY10 tdv8 RRS as it’s such a nice motor (I have a 2008 tdv8 RRV) and MY10 updated interior is also very nice/modern.
But if cargo space, a very little more under body clearance, and more accessories are important then D4.
How much ground clearance would we be talking?
There is no difference if the same size wheels and tyres are used. The reason the RRS had slightly lower ground clearance on the showroom floor is because it had a slightly lower tyre profile as delivered.
When you put the same size tyres on the RRS as a D4 because of the shorter RRS wheelbase, in theory it would be slightly better offroad because of its slightly better ramp over angle and slightly lower weight.
