Whilst the Nanocom can be used, still get the GapIID tool. With an older D3 it will pay for itself very quickly.

And the time spent on AULRO can be proportional to the number of issues you are trying to resolve or trying to avoid.

I liked having the nanocom, it was handy to have when it was needed. I'll get the IID in due course.

I'd like to, but can't justify the cost of rego and insurance. But given the early days of the D2 ownership saw me in the car it replaced more often than the D2 while things were getting sorted out, it will come in handy until it sells.

The D2 certainly has some history, it's a pity to sell it, but by gosh the general improvements of the D3 make it hard to really want to go back to it too often. :)

I can only drive one car at a time, and it's hard getting out of the D3 at the moment. :)

Yeah, I was aware of the crank issues before buying, which given this car had just had the engine replaced for likely slipped bearings or crank issues, I figured that it's a good starting place, just the usual wear and tear items to replace or repair.

The wife though doesn't see or care about any of this of course, just how much more comfortable the new car is.
