Not sure how thats going to happen now, It's a 2005 Disco 3 so I suppose it's about time they got replaced. I'm new to Perth and don't have a regular mechanic or know about the parts available in Perth. Any advice on getting a quick job or sourcing parts in Perth would be awesome. I figure I'll do all struts and height sensors, do you think anyone local might have some stock?

    Much appreciated
Depends where you are in Perth - its such a large area, it pays to include your suburb in correspondence/moniker.

Or is it like a John Guest style fitting that only requires pushing home?

As per DJ’s post, just pushes in. The system air pressure and the cutting ring inside the brass olive secures the airline.

Give Rovacraft in Bassendean a ring 93770080 they normally have stock, I was quoted 2500 for all four corners about 3 weeks ago for my D4, should be cheaper for a D3.

After wearing out a new set of genuine MY09 D3 shocks in 60K then trying a cheap set that only lasted 40K, I fitted the revised MY12 D4 shocks which were softer than the original MY10 shocks but provided a lot more control than the genuine D3 shocks. I had fitted D3 sway bars before any shock changes make the ride less rigid but in the end opted for a L322 with CVDs. The rear CVDs were replaced at 100K after multiple recalibrations and the fronts will be replaced shortly at 130K. My usage is hard on shocks and suspension bushes.

Don't know if he has time before Xmas, but I'm always happy to recommend my mechanic Darren (DazzaTD5 on here) who is a landie specialist independent based in Rivervale.
Look under Aztech4x4 for details other than mobile 0418 570 305 - leave a message if he's under a car

At a technical day with the club at one of the oldest and most experienced off-road suspension specialists in Australia, we saw how suspension dampers were made and we were told that they are only at their designed performance for about 40,000km. After that they start to deteriorate.
From my own experience of owning the same 110 for 25+years, suspension bushes usually need to be replaced about every 10 years (give or take a few depending on the sort of use the car gets).

Many years ago I had my D2's Konis revalved to better suit my needs. The workshop recommended that new seals be fitted as the shocks had done 30K and therefore the seals would have deteriorated significantly.

Pricing is better than AF, just not sure what I’m getting....

    Update 15/12:
OK, so Island 4x4 got back to me overnight, apparently these are BWI units. They also advised that BWI owns Delphi. Happy to go down this path provided the dampers inside are for a D4 and not for a D3....waiting for Island 4x4 to get back to me on that one.
I just had a look at the Island 4x4 website and the rear strut which says D3/D4 strut has a britpart logo on the picture even tho it has the part number in your picture , where as the D3 front strut says its a BWI brand.
They certainly are cheaper but not to sure i want a britpart strut , unless its just a generic picture.

Agreed, that was my thinking too, so thats why I've ordered the AF BWI units, they are dearer, but have a 2 year wty and I'm much more condident that they're the right ones. Ordered tuesday, expect delivery tomorrow...
