Agreed, it a great way to do it. I use an electric pump. In a bit of a rush a couple of months ago had the oil changed, air, pollen and oil filters changed in the driveway in about 45 minutes. Fantastic.Originally Posted by ATH

No. With the 2.7 you’ll need to insert a tube down the dipstick to the bottom of the sump.
On a 3.0 the drain tube goes to the very bottom.

SubscriberI did try it - once - was a very slow process, and as Tombie notes, does not remove all the oil.
The tube ends up being too small of a diameter to be truly effective. Like drinking a milk shake through a normal straw (but not as tasty).
