Just for others, many vehicle insurance companies, in the exclusions in their disclosure statement,note the vehicle is not covered if driven into water..

I read an article a year or so ago that basically said with the amount of electrics in modern cars , once they receive any form of water damage they are written off to stop the continuing claims that they could attract if allowed to be re registered.Quote:
