Clearly his jack does not lift as high as the SCA one - also I am not sure lifting the rear of the car under the diff is the right way - now I dont know but is that likely to stress the mounting rubbers.

Put a lump of wood between jack and diff for another 50mm.

One has a raised hieght of 505mm other 550 mm according to picture supplied 550, website supplied 505

    Good question.
I have 2 high-lift jacks. My original is a Repco and can lift 495mm. That isn't nearly high enough. I have the SCA which says 550 (on the Jack) and that's sufficient. I suspect the web page is wrong as I don't think 505 would be enough.

I lift in the center of each side (so side at a time) and put stands under the frame at the location marked in the manual.

Edit : Bodsys Brake Bible says "ideally capable of lifting 520mm".

I have the Supercheap 3t and it most definitely is able to get the wheels fully off the ground. It's a great jack but bloody heavy. Got mine in the Supercheap sale a couple of years ago for $150 iirc

I've seen 4 tyre shops locally top out trying to get mine off the ground before i put it under the wishbones. 1 flat refused and put it on the hoist. Lifting from the diff or chassis does require a super human number for lift.

It'd have to be checked out in-store. I just read the reviews and they indicate a change between when I bought mine and current. Stating "doesn't lift as high and is shorter than the one I bought several years ago".

Exactly, the toolpro has 550mm total lift height, more than enough. Dont like lumps of wood in between jack and lift points, asking for trouble .
