    UHF location

I know owners of D4's without bullbars stick their uhf aerial on the side of the bonnet but this has taken it to a whole new level.
Came across this toyota in the car park and found they had mounted their uhf aerial at the back of the bonnet - how are you supposed to open the bonnet (first take off the aerial) then pop the bonnet, and what if you forgot to remove the aerial before opening the bonnet - ouch. never seen this before and cannot understand the logic behind the location - can someone explain.

    Agreed ^^
And may even give better transmission/reception in the forward direction than being mounted right at the front on the bull bar.

It's a Toyota, you never need to open the bonnet 😀

I saw one on a Ranger which had been mounted in a similar location, but as the bonnet opened the UHF moved back with it until it was laying on the windscreen.

That could even double as a pole for his awning!

    Plenty of pics.

They don’t appear to make any for LRs.
