And don’t close them because they are a part of the boost bleed off when coming off throttle at higher boost. As the throttle butterfly closes (yes they have one) the second turbo is vented via EGR

Thanks Tombie. Just for my ignorance and education, can you explain what it means when you say "map them". I guess this is something that is done in the ECU to control how the EGR operates, but what is it one is trying to achieve in this case?

You’re correct, reprogram the ECU and how it controls the EGRs.

Essentially telling the ECU to keep them closed rather than operate as per original programming.
