As someone about to replace transfer case oil, should I definitely do a calibration with the IID tool after changing it? I've heard getting the oil from UK is cheapest?

Definitely don't recalibrate. Buy the oil from your nearest friendly Landrover dealer. Do diffs at the same time.

Did diff oils but mechanic didn't have any correct transfer case oil so I said I would do some research about other options rather then LR dealer.

Ready to be corrected, but I think the T/F case oil is the one fluid that there's not a non genuine option....Just read your other post and guess you are talking about other purchasing option for the LR oil..... I'll leave this post here anyway.

Royal purple synchromax is suitable. Getting close to 50000km on that since I changed it, no issues at all and about 50% cheaper and more readily available.
