    alas so

as they about opinions and the other . . .

I find the uk forum easier to obtain info, they respond in a friendly and cheeky manner with great banter.
You can actually ask a question without some nob attacking you!

It used to be like that here - it’s changed since inception.

You just have to ask a question and then ignore the responses of those that don't actually read the question properly and shoot from the hip without actually verifying either their answer is correct and/or answers the question that was actually asked.

That is pretty common on every web forum I've ever been on. Usually answers which include "AFAIK" or similar seem to mean "I don't really know, but I'll chuck something out there that I think sounds good and my answer is worth what you paid for it".

Once you learn to let those ones go through to the keeper, the real gold is found. Filter grasshopper.

Not all manuals are easy to read or find information

I have worked in IT for over 30 years, and been a Land Rover owner for all that time.
Not all manuals are well written and or easy to find specific information.
I personally have had difficulty in finding specific information in the GAP manuals, happily I have found their tech support, sufficient to solve the issues I was looking at.

I find the blunt RTFM answers that appear on this forum against the original purpose of the fantastic source of knowledge.

I used to believe that we all helped and encouraged each other in owning and working on one the best and also, at times, the most frustrating 4WD out there.
If we have made the effort to get this far on the forum, we should assume that we have been bitten by the LandRover bug.

If you don't know the answer or dont want to pass on your knowledge don't leave some smart arse comment, just scroll past and move along.

If you want to help, point your fellow Landrover tragic to where they can find the answer.

Also remember to wave when you pass a Landrover/Discovery on the road
