Akebono didn't make a front pad when I was after them although I believe they are available now. I went with Pedders Kevlar Ceramic and their home brand top of the line rotor, once again due to availability, can't fault either.

Dirt roads are the most I do but they have been great so far, I wouldn't go back to LR and have to replace rear pads and rotors at 37k!

    Regards

Akebono premium ceramic pads front and rear, combined with RDA slotted and dimpled rotors, new oem brake lines and calliper seal kit throughout. Would not go back to stock now. Impressive stopping power. No dust and looks great.

Re front discs for the later D4's for what its worth I am pretty sure that the discs off my old RRS 2009 TDV8 with Brembo front brakes will fit. I have a new set of slotted grooved which I got from the UK (can't recall where) a few years ago and not fitted to the RRS.
Took a front wheel off the D4 the other day and did some measuring and on the face of it they seem to be identical. May find upon removal that the retaining screw could be in a different position but that's easily sorted.

Begs the question whether the uprights are same which would allow the 4 spot (sorry, 'piston') Brembo calipers to go on, or maybe the caliper retaining bolt hole spacings are identical anyway! Noice brakes those Brembo's !!

    Any wrecked RRS TDV8's around?

    Now: MY13 D4 TDV6. "E" rear diff. Cambo's magic Engine & Auto Tune. 1968 Austin 1800 Mk1 auto (my 5th)
