    Are Freelander 17 x 7 Rims suitable for a 2007 D3 V6?

Hi guys,i'm new here, but long time Range Rover and Disco owner.

I've come across as set of 17 x 7 Rims that seem to be from a Freelander with the code 7 jx17SEH. They are rated at 940kg and also have ET53 E-DOT and AISi7Mg (Cast Aluminium) made by Suoftec in Hungary and stamped Land Rover.

Are these going to be suitable for the Disco to run Mud Tyres? Found a set of 4 for $30 a rim.

Searched the forum and only found two entries that contracdicted each other. Apologies if its been answered and I dont have the skills to find it.

    cheers

    Dave

Those specs are of the D3 17" rims. The part number on the rims will properly identify the original vehicle(s), eg RRC002851 or RRC002852 then 3 letters depending on colour for D3 rims.

They sound like Discovery rims. Load rating is correct - just check the centre bore and PCD also match as I thought the Freelander has a different size.

    Many thanks Graeme.

Just in case anyone else has a similar question

    1/ I re-measured the rim and it is actually 17 x 7.5, which is right for a D3
2/ In only thought it was a Freelander rim because that was what came up when I googled the 7x17..... stamp on the rim.
3/ They do have RRC002, but couldnt see the following letters.

Think I have found a bargain and will stick some Toyo Muds on it and see how we go!

Thanks DiscoDB, really helpful. I held the rims up against my 18" spare and the stud patterns are a match. I think I made a mistake on thinking they were Freelander rims (googling error). The Disco and Freelander rims do have different patterns it turns out.

Feel conifdent enough to spend money on some treads now.

    Cheers, david
