I would have thought that a RRC/D1 pedal box would be close to fitting since the P38 was released in 95 nearly 10 years prior to the D3 ?
What about from a 2.5 DI P38, did they come in a manual ?
They were my first port of call!
Hi loanrangie I'm lost ,apoligies if I haven't replied to you ,I am lost between phone and computer and 3 pther things that have popped up right now. Don't think d2 pedal box but SKB500280 defender clutch box and pedal like cripesamighty thinks. Going to look into it after lunch.
Sometimes you have to think outside the box (pun intended!) Good luck!
Have you tried Triumph Rover Spares in Adelaide?
It's a long shot, but just a phone call.
Hi aussie jeepster,Triumph rover ,was my first call, sad to say,one mans junk is another mans treasure. If they did have any they crusher went to the crusher. Went to sleep last night thinking defender clutch and pedal box. BUT I lucked onto a p38 wrecker in UK am hoping for an email reply soon. Everything crossed!!!!!!!!
In most cars the pedal box for their autos and manuals is basically the same. They usually use a common frame and the left pedal is just not installed. Have you checked this? If this is also the case of the D3 then you could just fabricate a clutch pedal and use approriate size bushes up on the shaft.
My Jag was originally an auto and I fitted a Commodore clutch pedal to the housing with a couple of bushes bought from an engineering supply shop. Actually works well.
As others have said and you are finding, very few D3s were manual so finding what your want will be difficult. The D3 was a new fresh design so I doubt a P38 or a Defender box will fit but a clutch pedal from one may fit your D3 pedal box.
Just an alternative approach to consider.
