If you're not in Sydney, and are happy to have your vehicle parked up for some days, send me the ECU, I'll load a tune overnight & send it out next day again.

This is what is programmed into the 2.7's.

We put more or less the same in the Territory too.

And of course the EGR issues are "addressed".

Thanks Cambo , bloody tempting but knowing my luck , the ecu will get lost in transit and then I will be right up the creek..

What's involved in removing /refitting the ECU , do you need a code reader to link it back to the car or is it plug and play... I'm talking about the cars original ECU not a replacement, if i were to send it and get it remapped.

Unfortunately I can't control the post or couriers... haven't lost one yet but that's always a risk.

The ECU will literally plug in & go, no need for any scan tools or additional programming.

It's located behind the battery. So you take out the battery, and in a D3 the Transfer Case Control Module is in there too, remove that, then you can access the Engine Control Module.

Will need, 8mm for the battery hold down, 10mm for the TCCM & PCM mounting nuts, maybe 13mm for the battery clamps on a D3 (D4 are 10mm)?

The connectors can be a bit fiddly, but it's maybe a 5min job to get the ECU out?

When you get it back, you just fit it, plug it in, plug whatever else back in, re-fit the battery, and done...
